Rejuvenation of the Silk Road both on land (一帶:即陸上絲路經濟帶) and sea (一路:即海上絲路) has recently become a strategy of the Chinese Government for economic development. This includes investment in major infrastructure projects in Asia countries, and export market development in such countries. The seminar will outline the history, trade and cultural interactions along the Silk Road over the past four millennia, along with its future prospects.
