Brief Biography:

After graduating from the University in 1976, Teresa obtained her second degree and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia. She returned to Hong Kong in 1981. Teresa specializes in the area of international tax and trust practice and served as a partner of Ernst & Young from 1988 until her retirement in 2001.

Teresa has been serving on the Convocation Standing Committee for over seven years and is the current Chairman.

If re-elected, Teresa intends to continue her efforts in three priority areas. Building on the good work Convocation started in the past years, Teresa will continue to advocate a federal type arrangement so as to foster closer relationship and encourage more collaboration with key alumni bodies; to further promote the new electronic voting system and to review the appointment system so as to ensure a strong and stable leadership for the future management of Convocation affairs, and an expanded sub-committee system to involve more active participation from the wider Convocation membership.

Teresa supports a more proactive Convocation involvement in university and community affairs, fund raising for the University, and the development of a Convocation Centre in the longer term to provide a focal point for alumni activities and networking.
