HKU Convocation Conference
"The Future of Hong Kong – What Next?"
「香港的前路」研討會

The political turmoil of last year over the issue of universal suffrage in the election of the Chief Executive ended with the recent rejection of the Government's electoral reform proposal by the Legislative Council. What will be the consequences on the future development of Hong Kong?

Will Hong Kong become even more ungovernable? Will our economic development stagnate or decline? Will any effort to solve the various social problems be futile in the face of political polarisation? What will be the prospect for implementing "One Country Two Systems" and "Hong Kong People Governing Hong Kong" up to 2047?
