The five-month public consultation on constitutional development has just ended. Can Hong Kong take the giant step forward in democratic development and achieve universal suffrage? Will the common aspiration for electing our Chief Executive by one-person-one-vote in 2017 come true? Have the different sectors of the community and political parties narrowed their differences and come closer to a consensus on this matter? What will happen to our society and governance if people's hope for universal suffrage is not realized and Hong Kong cannot move forward in constitutional development?

The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Secretary for Administration, who leads the Task Force on Constitutional Development, looks forward to sharing her views with you on this subject.

The talk will be conducted in Cantonese. English interpretation upon advance request. Q&A will be in Chinese and English.

Closed to media. The Chatham House Rule will be observed.
